Price Canyon Working Ranch
(Suitable For A Real Cowboy Wanna-Be)
Welcome to rancher country, where generations of pioneering families worked and preserved the land. Today, this ranch land is surrounded by 500,000 acres of national forest and wilderness. Marked by a diversity of wildlife, flowers and trees, this vast terrain offers expansive views south past Limestone Mountain and deep into Old Mexico.
Sonora Desert Dude Ranch
(Suitable For Everyone)
Return to the days when life was not so complicated. In the late seventeenth century, the fertile Altar valley was settled by Spanish Jesuits. Father Eusebio Francisco Kino and his followers built a mission outpost on the ranch. Still standing this rare historic adobe structure is reputed to be the second oldest building in Arizona.
Few know that Arizona has the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine in the world and temperature ranges that actually accommodate water skiing and snow skiing in the same day. From the Grand Canyon to rich Native American traditions, Arizona offers vibrant colors and landscapes with breathtaking mountains, swift rivers and gracious grasslands.

The desert is also home of the Wild West, the land of cowboys and Indians, prospectors, gamblers and dusty towns. The character of the Old West is epitomised in the old mining town of Tombstone, the site of the famous shootout at the OK Corral where staged gunfights, swinging saloon doors and old wooden buildings are reminders of the harsh past that respected the 'law of the gun'. Outside the cities, the Native Americans who have lived in Arizona for centuries make up the majority of the population, and more than a third of the land is encompassed within Indian Reservations.

One of the best ways (if not the only way) to see Arizona's natural splendor is on horseback. And our Arizona's ranching program showcases the states natural beauty in all it's glory and offers a more relaxing way to take it all in. From guided trails to riding in the working cattle ranch in Gold Canyon, the Old West history is brought to life in this unique way to experience nature and see all that Arizona has to offer.
